EDDINGTON ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY

Kendal, Cumbria, United Kingdom

  Today:   Wed 20 Aug 2008

Next EAS Meeting:   Mon Sep 1 2008

"EAS" brings together astronomers and others who are interested in science and the cosmos, and provides a forum for discussion of matters relating to astronomy.

The Society is named in honour of Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington, the famous Astronomer and Astrophysicist who was born in Kendal. Click here to read our Society Constitution Document as a PDF file.

Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7pm in Kendal Museum. Visitors/new members are welcome regardless of age, experience, or any equipment they might (or might not) own.

Whether you're interested in the latest mind-boggling cosmological theories, or just want to know how to find your way around the night sky, you will be made very welcome at "EAS". We have well-known and popular guest speakers. Our own members also give talks and presentations about subjects related to astronomy. Why not come along to our observing sessions where you will be able to see and use various telescopes, etc?
